Try this mouth watering pasta recipe made of deliciously crisp bacon, herbs and seasoning. Perfect for any gatherings as well!

INGREDIENTS
* 2 tablespoons kosher salt
* 16 ounces spaghetti pasta
* 1 pound thick-cut bacon or pancetta, chopped
* 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
* 1 cup red onion, diced
* 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
* 3 tablespoons garlic, minced
* 2 cups Roma tomatoes, diced
* 1/4 cup red wine
* 4 tablespoons basil, chiffonade
* 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
* Salt and freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS
- Boil 3 quarts of water in a large stock pot. Add 2 tablespoons of kosher salt and cook pasta until al dente.
- Cook bacon in a large saute pan over moderate heat. Remove crisped bacon and drain over a plate lined with paper towel. Drain saute pan, leaving only a quarter of the bacon fat. Add extra-virgin olive oil into the pan and saute the onions and red chili flakes. Cook until the onions are clear. Add garlic, cooking for 2 more minutes. Add the tomatoes and cook for another five minutes. Deglaze pan, adding wine.
- Drain pasta and transfer into the pan with with the cooking tomato mixture. Season with basil and add bacon. Add Parmesan, salt and pepper. Toss to combine and serve.
