    Campfire Pork & Beans Recipe

    INGREDIENTS

       *8 bacon slices,cut 1 1/2
       *1/2 cup chopped onion
       *1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
       *53 oz can pork and beans
       *1/4 cup molasses
       *1/4 tsp tabasco sauce

    DIRECTIONS

    • Set the oven to preheat settings of 375 degrees F. Cook the bacon until crisp and reserve.
    • Set aside 2 tablespoons of the drippings from the pan. Use it to saute the onion and green pepper until tender.
    • In a 2 ½ quart casserole, blend the beans together with molasses and red pepper sauce. Place it into the oven to bake for about 45 minutes.
    • Serve with bacon on top.
    • Makes a dozen serving.
