*3 cup mashed potatoes
*3 lb lean pork, ground
*1 cup water
*1/4 tsp nutmeg
*1/4 tsp allspice
*1 tbsp salt
*1/4 tsp pepper
*1/2 cup onion, chopped
*1 pastry for 2 (2 crust) pies
DIRECTIONS
Mix the ground pork with water, nutmeg, allspice, salt, pepper and onion in a saucepan. Set over medium heat for half hour. Stir often to prevent the mixture from burning. Take it off the stove top and add in the mashed potatoes. Combine well. Leave it to cool.
Fill two pastry lined plates with the mixture and arrange the top crust well. Slice a cople of times to allow steam to release while baking. Place it into the oven and bake at 425 degrees F for about 40 minutes. Serve either hot or cold.
