This recipe cooks Italian sausage and onion with cubed potatoes, milk and butter.
INGREDIENTS
5 lbs potatoes, peeled & cubed
1 lb bulk Italian sausage
1 large onion, chopped
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
3 to 4 cups milk
1 teaspoon dried parsley
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Boil potatoes in a large pot of water until tender. Drain and set aside.
Cook sausage in a large skillet until browned. Add onion and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add butter and the sausage-onion mixture with the potatoes. Pour in milk and season with salt and pepper. Add parsley and simmer for another 40 minutes over low heat. Add cheese and serve immediately.
