Prepare and cook pasta as instructed. Drain well and transfer in a serving bowl. Set aside.
Set a large skillet over low heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil. Cook bacon along with mushrooms, stirring often until browned. Add the rest of oil into the skillet and add the capers, garlic, salt and hot pepper flakes. Cook for 10 more minutes, stirring often. Mix in the basil and transfer into the cooked pasta bowl.
