INGREDIENTS
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple rings, juice drained and reserved
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
4 pork chops
1 pinch ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
Place the drained pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce and garlic powder into a large resealable plastic bag. Squeeze bag to combine the liquids well. Add the chops into the bag. Squeeze out the air before sealing the bag. Place it in the refrigerator overnight.
Prepare the outdoor grill to medium heat and brush the grate lightly with oil.
Take the chops off the marinade and shake any excess liquids before setting them onto the grill. Cook for about 16 minutes, turning once. Spread with marinade as it grills and discard any leftover liquids when done. Remove chops from heat.
Grill 4 pineapple rings just until heated through and marked with grill strips. Top over grilled chops and serve.
