This recipe serves sausages with a delicious cooked onion sauce.
INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup olive oil
4 onions, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup chicken broth
4 links pork sausage
DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Mix in the onions, cooking for about 10 minutes. Mix in the salt and sugar. Bring heat to medium-low and cook covered for about 20 minutes. Mix in flour and add broth. Stir well and cover loosely then cook for another 30 minutes.
Preheat oven broiler. Put the sausages into the broiling pan and cook until the skin has turned dark brown in color and the sausages have been cooked for 20 minutes.
