INGREDIENTS
1 medium onion, chopped
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup water
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons ground mustard
2 teaspoons paprika
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
6 hot dogs
Hot cooked rice
DIRECTIONS
Heat oil in a saucepan and saute until tender. Mix in water, ketchup, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, paprika and hot pepper sauce. Once boiling, remove cover and adjust heat to allow simmering for about 15 minutes.
Slice the hotdogs in half lengthwise, then crosswise. Transfer into an 11 x 7 x 2-inch greased baking dish. Add sauce and bake for about 25 minutes at 350 degrees F.
