INGREDIENTS

1 pound ground Italian sausage
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 cup shredded Colby cheese
1 cup salsa
24 (3.5 inch square) wonton wrappers
3/4 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 bunch green onions, chopped

• Turn the oven on to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare mini-muffin pan and apply grease lightly.
• Transfer ground Italian sausage in a large, deep skillet. Set it over medium-high heat, cooking until evenly browned. Drain and remove from heat.
• Add Monterey Jack cheese and Colby cheese into the sausage, stirring well until melted. Blend in the salsa.
• Press the wonton wrappers onto the prepared muffin pan, extending the edges, Add a dollop of the sausage mixture over each and bake for 10 minutes.
• Arrange the baked filled-wontons onto a serving platter and add a tablespoon of sour cream. Add a sprinkling of green onions and serve.
