In a bowl, combine salt, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, coriander and cinnamon. Rub spice mixture onto pork.
Arrange the bay leaves at the bottom of the slow cooker and top with pork. Add the chicken broth onto the sides of the pork. Cook covered over low heat for about 10 hours. Turn meat and cook the other side for another 5 hours.
Take the meat out of the slow cooker and use two forks to shred. Add cooking liquids as needed for moistening the meat.
